Literary Conversation Circle

Improve your English conversation skills as you read and discuss literature. A new book every month.

We begin with H. G. Wells's classic science fiction novel

The War of the Worlds!

Saturdays 10:00-11:30 a.m. MT (Mexico City time)

April dates: 8, 15, 22, 29

80.00 USD (1,500 MXN) per month

The Literary Conversation Circle is designed to help advanced English learners improve their conversational skills by reading and discussing interesting novels in English. Each month we analyze a short, classic novel that is available online as an e-book at a low cost. This small group meets once a week for a total of four sessions per month. I will provide a general background and discussion questions for the book. Then get ready for lively conversation!

Payment is on a monthly basis. Please pay in advance so that you are ready to participate for the first session of each month.

Because I have designed the schedule to fit Mexican needs, the course is aimed at Mexicans, but all English conversationalists are welcome!

After you register, you will be sent a book link, a reading schedule, and discussion questions.

Upcoming monthly schedule:

April: H. G. Wells’s The War of the Worlds

May: Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein

If you have formed your own group, preferably of about five participants, and would like another schedule, please email me at: info@rowenagalavitz.com.

Conditions

You should have a B2 level or above to participate in the Circle. You may register up to 24 hours before the first class of the month as long as you read the material before the first session. You may cancel up to three days before the first session of the month and receive a refund. After that, there are no refunds. The Circle consists of 3-10 participants. In the event the course does not meet the minimum number of participants, your money will be returned to you. Books are not included but generally cost less than 5.00 USD per month.
