teaching experience
My past teaching experience includes university classes on languages, literature and writing, college success, and religious studies. I have taught Spanish and English at the university level in Mexico and the United States. My language classes encourage real life communicative skills and practical vocabulary and grammar along with knowledge of cultural aspects of language.
In the English composition classes, I guided students in analyzing a wide range of literatures by discussing content, style, and structure along with literary theory. With my help, students learned to write excellent research papers! As an associate instructor in religious studies, I supported professors with their foundational courses.
I work privately with college students, MA and PhD students, and professionals. My support of college students includes assisting them in formulating a thesis and argument for their research papers. I also support academics and professionals in perfecting their English language skills. Contact me for more information today!
I teach English to multilingual immigrants in the adult education classroom setting. Using a student-centered approach, I encourage communicative practice for everyday situations. Real-world materials such as maps, documentaries, videos, local newspapers, and music form an essential part of the class.
